Since June of 69 i spent 2 years 4 months 11 days in the Army. After that it was 40 years with the Village of Carpentersville. Retired at 59 and after 3 years of sitting on the couch eating Doritos my wife ( did I mention that Peggy and I were married August 18, 1973 ? ) said that for the sake of our marriage I better get off the couch and DO SOMETHING ! Well in 2014 I went to work for Jewel in Fox River Grove part time and that is how I spend 3 days a week. I am the fixer. They break it and I fix it. We like to spend time with the grand kids who all live in Wisconsin. Sage went to Reed college in Portland Oregon graduating in 21. He loves it so much out there that he says he will never move back here. We fly out in March and October and he comes home to visit in June and december.

Toilet Bowl Game 1968 Dundee is on the 10 yard line 1st and 10 I go back to the huddle and tell our QB Larry pedley that I have a fish guarding me. ( sorry Jim Stilling ) We run an inside automatic . I break 45 degrees to the inside so Jim is on my outside and Pedley puts the ball where only I can catch it. TD 10 to 3 Dundee. I must admit that as the clock was winding down Crown was running Mark Kellar wide on every play. as luck would have it we held and got the W. as a side note I caught a pass in the flat and Rick Waters was there to stop me. He had me by my right foot and wouldn't let go. Someone else came and cleaned my clock. I limped on crutches for a week.Just stiff competition Dundee and Crown GREAT MEMORIES
