After raising four children and being blessed with 10 wonderful grandchildren my husband and I got this wonderful opportunity to move to California to manage a privately owned senior apartment complex. Our boss is wonderful and just happens to be Gwen Stefani's uncle. It seems in California everyone is either related to, or knows someone who is related to a star or is the star. We have been here for six years and loving it. We live close to Disneyland so when the children and grandchildren visit that is always their favorite place to go. |

I loved school. Not for the education as much as the social interaction. In Jr. High I tore up my knee pretty bad and could no longer do sports or take gym but the benefits were great when it came time for me to have to go between classes on crutches. Had quite a few guys decide they wanted to carry my books so they could get out of class early. Freshman and sophomore year I was on crutches more than I was off but very popular with the older boys because of the fore mentioned benefit. I had many different circles that I was included in and enjoyed them all. Going to the "New Place" was always a great pleasure in the summertime. A great place to listen to the Buckingham's, Freddie and the Dreamers, the Who, Christopher Robin and Friends. I loved blending in with the greasers, or the surfers, or the Rahs. My best friends were Ginger Nelson, Chris Cacciatore and Barb Burrows. |
